Kits with Naturally Colored Yarns
We have kits made from yarns that are grown in colors! The cotton lint on the plant grows in brown and green. The magical property that these yarns have is that they darken when exposed to heat and alkaline baths. So, as you wash them and dry them in your dryer, the yarns actually get darker rather than fade. How fabulous is that?
We have our own line of these yarns, called American Maid, that are grown in the southwestern US, and spun here in the United States. We are trying to support US grown and spun cotton as much as we can these days. This cotton comes from different seed stock than the Foxfiber yarns that we have carried for years. This year, we have the American Maid yarns in Dark Brown and Light Brown. The Dark Brown yarn contains 100% brown lint, and the Light brown yarn contains 30% brown cotton lint mixed with 70% white cotton lint.

These thirsty handtowels are made from a combination of our own Dark Brown and
Light Brown American Maid yarns and Natural unmercerized cotton. The 8-shaft
blocks weave these three yarns into 4 amazing towels. Towels are approximately
16" x 25" after hemming.

These wonderfully soft towels are made from 3/2 unmercerized natural cotton yarn. They are very thick and thirsty. All new instructions are included to make 3 generous bath sheets (approximately 62”x28”), or 4 bath towels (approximately 48”x28”) . Instructions for 4 and 8 shaft looms included.
